Organizational Structure and Operating Guidelines

The following organizational structure was developed by the ATA e-Business Steering Group to establish a uniform framework for standards development and to provide a higher level of structure and order for achieving the industry vision/mission for an integrated data environment. One of the main objectives of this structure is to establish virtual interest groups and working groups that will maximize “on-line” discussions and collaboration. This of course does not preclude the groups from creating project teams that will meet as needed to achieve shorter term deliverables with clear business objectives.

For a description of each major working group, interest group and project team, view the Committee List and Descriptions and the Operational Guidelines.

  • The e-Business Steering Group (ESG) is responsible for setting the strategic goals and managing the working groups, project teams and change requests to achieve the vision and mission.
  • Working Groups are teams of subject matter and/or technical experts responsible for development and maintenance of ATA e-Business Program specifications
