The Edit an Alias tool is used to edit an existing alias, including the description and subscriber email addresses. If virus scanning is enabled for this site, set whether email sent to this alias is screened for viruses.
Once an alias has been added, the name cannot be edited. If the organization would like this alias to have a different name, add a new alias with the desired name and copy over the description and email addresses from this alias, then delete this alias.
View and scroll through a list of all aliases or search for a specific alias by name or email address.
Edit an existing alias.
Select the alias you would like to edit. If you accessed this tool through a link on the Manage Aliases page, the select step will have already been performed. Otherwise, a tabular list of existing aliases is displayed. You may scroll through the list, reverse the sorting of the list by alias name, or search for a specific alias by name or email address.
Edit the description for this alias, change whether or not email sent to this alias will be scanned for viruses, or edit the list of email addresses to which email sent to this alias will be forwarded. Click Save when you are done configuring the new alias.

- Scan for Viruses
Yes or no, do you want email sent to this alias to have virus scanning enforced automatically? This option is available if virus scanning is enabled for your site.
If 'yes', then incoming email is screened for viruses, and email containing viruses is rejected rather than posted to the alias mailbox.
If 'no', incoming email will not be filtered before entering the alias mailbox and will simply be forwarded to all recipients on the alias list.
- Email Addresses
The list of email addresses to which email sent to this alias is automatically forwarded. Email addresses must be in text-only format, separated by new lines, e.g.:
