Kavi® Billing Help
The Add a User Account tool is used to add a new billing account for a user in the Kavi® Members database. It is necessary to create an account for a user if you want to issue bills to that user. When you search for existing users, you will find any users that do not already have billing accounts. Billing accounts can be created for any user. Only one account will be created per user. Many accounts can be created automatically by other applications when they need to bill the user and can also be automatically created when the user is first added to the Kavi Members database.

Search for a user or set of users in the Kavi Members database by setting any or all of the optional fields to refine the search criteria. To view all available user data, leave the search fields set to the defaults. This will only be a list of users who do not already have billing accounts.
- Name or Email
To search for a user or set of users with similar names or email addresses, enter a first name,last name, username or email address. You may enter full or partial text in the search fields. For example, entering a first name of 'jo' into the search field will match first names of 'Billy-Jo' and 'Joelene' as well as 'Joseph'. To reduce the number of potential matches, restrict the search by setting other search fields. To increase the number of potential matches, expand the search by entering partial values for name or email address, or leave other search fields set to the default values. For example, if you specified a domain name, the search results would display all users whose usernames contain that domain name.
Select the name of the company to which the user belongs.
- Current Status
Select the status of the user, either active or inactive. An inactive user does not have access to the Kavi Billing application and may not be able to access any bills issued to the account.
Select a user from the list of users available. This will only be a list of users who do not already have billing accounts. Check the radio buttons to select/deselect the users. If there is only one user record, it will be preselected. If you do not see the user you are looking for, click 'Back' to try the search again. Entering more details in the search will result in a smaller number of users from which to select.
The billing account information for the selected user is displayed for your review. Verify that this is the user for whom you want to create the account, and click Save to create the account or click Back to select another user. Once a user account is created, you can issue bills to that account.
